Made by hand in Premana, a village in the Italian Alps that has forged scissors for generations. Every pair is adjusted at the screw and cut-tested before it leaves the workshop.

Stainless steel throughout, so the instrument can be rinsed, dried and — if you share it — disinfected without harming the finish.

Worth keeping in mind as a gift. Presented in its leather case it needs no wrapping to look like a proper present, and it works for any occasion — a birthday, a holiday, a graduation, or the person who already owns everything.

Dry the instrument after contact with water and return it to its case. Stainless steel resists corrosion but is not immune to it, and standing moisture dulls an edge faster than actual use.

The instrument can be sterilised. A forged edge holds its cut for years of regular use; when it finally softens, any competent sharpening workshop can reset it.
